FCC Seniors Ministry

First Christian Church has a very active Seniors Ministry.

Members (55 years young and more) have named their group the “Happy Timers”.

The Happy Timers meet on the third Tuesday of each month for a luncheon.  An upbeat program, often choral groups, provides entertainment for the luncheon.  The Happy Timers enjoy fellowship, enjoy a great meal, and often leave with a door prize!

There is also a Happy Timers Choir.  Everyone is welcome to join in this group’s activities which center around Mondays at noon.  The Happy Timers Choir performs seasonal musical selections throughout the city in retirement and assisted living facilities.

The group doesn’t always stay in Amarillo.  When there is interest, buses are chartered to take the Happy Timers and friends on foliage tours and  trips throughout the Panhandle.
